Athletics Alberta currently has the following standing committees that meet a minimum of two-times per year:
The purpose of the Administration Committee is to advise the Board on all matters pertaining to resource allocation, resource distribution, resource development, including fundraising, marketing, contracting and negotiations, sanctions, budgeting and accounting for the Association; and to assume a primary role in matters pertaining to membership, public relations and government relations on behalf of the Association. The Vice President Administration of the Association will chair the Administration Committee.
The purpose of the Executive Committee is to function on behalf of the Board in matters of emergency, and in interim periods between regularly scheduled Board meetings, and to coordinate the activities of the standing committees. The President of the Association shall be the chair of the Executive Committee and the members of the committee shall be the officers of the Board and the Executive Committee shall meet as required.
The purpose of the Personnel Committee is to ensure the effective recruitment, management and development of the Association's human resources with the Vice-President Personnel chairing the Personnel Committee.
The purpose of the Programs Committee is to develop, implement and evaluate all technical programs and services of the Association with the Vice-President Programs chairing this Committee.
