The road to the London 2012 Olympics begins in Edmonton on Saturday June 16th.
Athletics Alberta will be producing the Donovan Bailey Invitational (formally known as the Edmonton International Track Classic) as one of Canada’s National Track League series competition. In recognition & tribute to Canada’s 100m Olympic Champion, the Donovan Bailey Invitational will be the showcase track & field competition in Canada and will feature Canada's best track & field athletes in an arena where they will be competing against the best competition from around the world.
This event will be a thrill-packed afternoon – an extremely competitive environment for athletes and a great entertainment event for spectators. This is a unique opportunity for Edmontonians to see Olympic hopefuls in person, and to show their national pride.
