2008 IAAF World Athletics Day Athletics Alberta is pleased to announce that the St Albert Challenge has been selected as one of three Canadian cities to host the IAAF World Athletics Day on May 10-11, 2008. 2008 Alberta Provincial Championship Series The Alberta Provincial Championships are where athletes are chosen to attend the national events and national/ provincial teams. This makes the quality of the athletes attending extremely high but also provides the developmental opportunities for Albertans to compete against fellow athletes from across the province. |

2008 Alberta Provincial Club Championships The 2008 Alberta Provincial Club Championships is integrated within the 2008 Alberta Provincial Championships in Calgary on June 28-29, 2008. As this is a club provincial title championship, Club Athletes that meet the eligibility, rules, deadlines, fees etc. as outlined in the Individual Championships will be eligible for the Alberta Provincial Club Championships. 2008 Alberta Summer Games The Alberta Summer Games are held over a 4 day period starting on August 7 and ending on August 10 in Medicine Hat, AB. There are over 3,200 athletes, coaches and officials who participate in the 15 sports (29 sports with Boys & Girls). Athletics (Track & Field) will be run out of Crescent Heights High School. |

Run Jump Throw Run Jump Throw (RJT) is a FUNdamentals program that teaches the technical skill progressions for athletic events for boys and girls. The RJT program is an excellent opportunity for youth in school or recreation programs to enjoy activities that are designed to increase transferable physical skill abilities. |
