» Timex Series #9: Melissa's Road Race

Melissa's annual road race marked the end of the 2012 Timex road race series in Alberta and as it has been the past few years, clear skies and sunshine greeted the 1000's of runners taking part. On the ladies side, it was a few new faces leading the charge with Pauline McLean of Calgary picking up the in 38:39, well clear of 2nd place runner Lisa Benz of Cochrane (41:05) and Jessica Kaiser of Calgary (42:03). On the men's side, it was Brad Bickley of Calgary picking up the win, covering the challenging 10km course in 33:29. Following him was training partner Travis Cummings (Calgary) in 34:23 and super master David Guss (Calgary) in 35:40 to round out the top 3.
The Timex series officials will now put together a final ranking and then get payment out in the next few months. Thanks to everyone who participated and we hope to see you back again next year!
