Professional Development Grants [1]
The purpose of the Professional Development Grants is to assist women who are interested in a career in coaching by providing an opportunity to upgrade their education and certification. A grant allows the coach to participate in coaching seminars or conferences, attend major competitions, or consult with a recognized sport expert. A grant may also be used in combination with support from other cost-sharing partners to help coaches broaden the scope of their learning options.
Coaching Internship Program [2]
Service Canada provided financial assistance for this project through the Government of Canada’s Career Focus program, which offers financial support to employers and organizations to provide post-secondary graduate youth with career-related work experience in their field of study.
Women in Coaching National Coaching Institute Scholarships [3]
The Coaching Association of Canada awards scholarships annually to women coaches who attend one of seven National Coaching Institutes located across Canada.
Petro-Canada Olympic Torch Scholarship Fund [4]
Through the Petro-Canada Olympic Torch Scholarship Fund, the National Coaching Institutes offer scholarships of up to $8,000 for coaches accepted into the full-time residential program. Scholarships are awarded each year based on coaching background, application, and specific needs.
