» Alberta Club Championships

The 2010 Alberta Club Championships will be tabulated from age-class scored performances at the Alberta Youth Track & Field Championships on June 26-27, 2010 at Fowler Athletic Park in St. Albert (Pee Wee, Bantam, Midget & Youth) and the Alberta Provincial Track & Field Championships on July 10-11, 2010 at Strathcona Athletic Park in Sherwood Park.

Division 1 Champions will receive a complimentary $400 club membership fee deduction applicable to the 2010 calendar year. Division 2 Champions will receive a complimentary $200 club membership deduction towards the club's 2010 membership fees.

Each Division winner will receive a small keepsake trophy with formal award presentations to be done at the 2010 Annual Awards in January 2011.

Eligibility

Club Athletes  that meet the eligibility, rules, deadlines, fees etc. as outlined in the Individual Championships will be eligible for the Alberta Provincial Club Championships.

Scoring

A point system will be used to determine the winner of the 2010 Alberta Provincial Club Track & Field Championships. Accumulated points scoring system will be used to determined an OVERALL winner - in 2 seperate Divisions - based on final standings:

1st - 10pts, 2nd - 8pts, 3rd – 6pts, 4th – 5pts, 5th – 4pts, 6th – 3pts, 7th – 2pts, 8th - 1pt

Please note:  the Alberta Club Track & Field Championships will focus on the all age-categories from Pee Wee to Senior athletes only.

Divisions

There will be two (2) Club Divisions for the 2010 Alberta Provincial Club Track & Field Championships:

• Division 1 Teams will be designated for clubs with 30 or more registered members per calendar year and;
• Division 2 Teams will be designated for clubs with less than 30 registered members per calendar year.
