» Timex Road Race Series in Alberta

In partnership with Timex Canada and Athletics Alberta, the Timex Provincial Road Race Series provides thousands of Albertans with the opportunity to experience the benefits and joys of road running in Alberta's only Provincial Road Running Series.

Developed by Timex in 1989, in conjunction with the branch associations of Athletics Canada, the TNRRS has over 110 races with an excess of 140,000 participants. The TNRRS reflects the growing popularity in 5 KM and 10 KM running as we continue to see the base of participation increase each year.

The TNRRS is an integral part of the road running scene in Canada, designed for all runners from the beginner to the elite competitor. By running one of the official Timex Road Race Series events, you are entered in the series and accumulating points. See the results area for your official points standing.

The Timex Road Race Series culminates in the National 10 KM Final - Canadian 10 KM Road Race Championships - held at the end of the provincial series season.

New in 2012, all participants in the Timex Series: 1.) MUST be a registered members of Athletics Alberta; 2.) are scored against everyone in the race based on overall race placing. Points will be awarded to the top 10 finishers per gender category and age group (please click here to see the new age groups); 3.) At the conclusion of the Timex Series, each runner's total Top 4 Series Race points will determine the male and female prize recipients.

Athletics Alberta officially recognizes and sanctions the following races that are registered as 2012 Timex Road Race Series events in Alberta:

• Woody's RV World Marathon 10km - May 20, 2012

• The Blue Mile Road Race - May 25, 2012

• Scotiabank Calgary Marathon's Jugo Juice 10km - May 27, 2012

• Canada Day 15km Road Race (Edmonton) - July 1, 2012

• Lap the Track 10km Road Race - July 15, 2012

• Canadian Derby Edmonton 10km - August 18, 2012

• The Dino Dash 10km - September 1, 2012 *

• The Rotary Run for Life 10km - September 9, 2012

• Melissa's Road Race 10km - September 22, 2012
